Christina Aguilera and Cher in ''Burlesque'' The Musical

 The Movie

Christina Aguilera will be making her screen debut for Screen Gems musical "Burlesque,"  a movie musical written by Susannah Grant (Erin Brockovich) and directed by Steve Antin (Troy from The Goonies).
(Christina Aguilera) is Ali is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to Los Angeles.

After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess (Cher),
the club’s proprietor and headliner. Burlesque’s outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day.

Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer named Georgia (Julianne Hough), finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer named Nikki (Kristen Bell), and garners the affection of a bartender and fellow musician Jack (Cam Gigandet).

With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager (Stanley Tucci) and gender-bending host named Alexis (Alan Cumming), Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur Marcus Gerber (Eric Dane) arrives with an enticing proposal.

"I couldn't be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind," Screen Gems topper Clint Culpepper said.

If you are a Christina Aguilera fan go see this movie, I don't think this would be such a bad movie.  She has done burlesque dancing before when she was a guest celebrity performer with the Pussycat Dolls.

But the good thing about this movie is that Christina Aguilera belts out song after songs like you know she can moves like a proffessional and it's very reminiscent of ''Showgirls'' and ''Chicago''
(which I happen to love)

I cannot wait to see what Christina can do, she looks the part, lets hope she can pull it off.

(The Trailer For ''Burlesque'' Enjoy)

The Burlesque trailer is truly enticing and impressive because it shows off the glitter and glamour in the entertainment field.
It also has considerable running time dedicated to stars in the movie as well because each artist is captured in it suggesting that there is more to the movie other than music and dance.
With colorful and fast moving numbers the trailer makes the movie to look like a great flick that will attract many crowds to it.
The dance items and soundtracks in the movie are highlighted in the trailer as they are given much prominence in it providing eye candy to the viewers.
